Reserved Seating Usher

A couple weeks ago my mil told me a lady she goes to school with is in charge of the concerts that happen at DSC, and said they needed help the night of the David Archuleta concert. Am I a huge fan of him....No. Do I own his album....No. Did I follow him on American Idol....No. But I figured, why not, its free. So I said that I would help out.

I was assigned to be a door usher, along with my sister in laws. Once the show started we got to just sit and relax. And I must admit I enjoyed myself more than I thought I would (making fun of crazed teeny boppers proved to be rather enjoyable).

David did put on a really good show. He sang for about an hour and a half, with no breaks. His voice didn't crack and he showed no signs of getting tired. But you could def tell he's only 17 and still quite goofy. But all in all I must say I was rather impressed. One can't help but to admit, whether your an avid fan or not, that he does have an amazing voice.

Well I just had to show off how close I was to the stage(just one of the perks of being a "reserved seating usher"=] ). I could almost smell the sweat...(thats just for you Natalie) GO DAVID!! haha

No Bad News

We got the results back from the MRI.......Nothing major was wrong. He did have some minor narrowing and a couple other things. But the doc said it was nothing major. The good news totally made my day!

Thanks to all of you who kept us in your prayers, and who helped me not stress out :)

A little help in the prayer department...

For the past little while Jon has been getting these random back spasms that make it so he can't move. This week while he was at the chiropractor he just happen to get one of these spasms. And low and behold, the chiropractor told him that this isn't a good thing. He told him he needed to get an MRI because someone that young shouldn't be getting spasms, and that it could be Spinal Stenosis. What is Spinal Stenosis you may ask...

Spinal stenosis: Narrowing of the spaces in the spine, resulting in compression of the nerve roots or spinal cord by bony spurs or soft tissues, such as disks, in the spinal canal.

When it comes to problems with the spine, I've always thought it was a serious thing. But I guess depending upon the severity, this may not be that bad. Although this is something that normally happens over time. So people that are 50, 60, and 70 years old are the ones who get this. So it is very abnormal for a 22 year old to have.

The MRI is scheduled for Monday evening. Hopefully everything is fine, and no surgery will be necessary. But if you would all keep him in your prayers, we'd truly appreciate it.

Random

Heres the other picture from the 80's party.
Me Jon, Zeffie, Brandon, Delecta, and Daryl

Zeffie and Brandon just got a new dog. Well the other day me and Jon went over there to babysit and Asher decided he wanted to get into the dog cage. We couldn't help but to take some pics.

I finally got a new name plate at work. This is what the old one was turned into.
(the bottom part was supposed to say Consumer Loan Processor) haha

And last but not least, last week at work me and one of my co-workers got kinda bored. She took her moms new valentines stuffed animal (that her mother adamantly told her not to touch) and brought it to work. We then took some pictures of it all around the work area and sent her an e-mail with them along with a story that was made up. This probably isn't very funny, one of those, you had to be there moments, but since this is like journaling, its mainly for me so I don't forget. So sorry for the weird entry.

The Adventures of Leonitus

The story of Leonitus begins in a faraway land. He started out as a young cub that was very adventurous. As any adolescent boy that moves through puberty and reaches young adulthood, he decided that he needed to get a job in order to acquire the things of his liking. Leonitus's first job was an adventure of discrimination, assimilation, hard work and love. This is that story......

Leo, as his co-workers called him, was a very hard worker and was willing to do anything to get ahead.

Leo got along very well with his co-workers. He loved talking with them and getting to know their stories. His days were full of work......

Smoke Breaks

Lunch Breaks

Bathroom Breaks and....

Scrounging for after lunch snacks in the Break Room.

After Leonitus was working for a while, he found that he was not treated the same as others. He had a hard, treacherous battle ahead of him with all the discrimination he was faced with. Leonitus was not special. Here he is with proof that others were treated so much better than he. They even had their own parking spots.

The work was hard but the pay was good. So, he stuck it out. He eventually started a relationship with a co-worker who ended up becoming his boss. Time passed and the relationship ended badly, Leonitus then decided his journey there was through. Who knows Leonitus could be anywhere. That brave soul will show up again......eventually.

My Dad made a path around the sledding hill, and the boys had
a race to see who could complete it the fastest. Here's Jon just
finishing the run.

It's absolutely beautiful up there!

Both the snowmobiles got stuck.

SHOES!!!

So I figured I'd let you all know, that on March 2nd I'm having a Shoe Party! That's right, shoes! The shoes are all super cute, and totally affordable. (between $15-$25) It's put on by BellaSoles, go to http://www.bellasoles.com/ to see last seasons line. My party, however will be the first of the new season. (pictures of the new line should be available soon) Therefore, first pick on everything! They'll have all the sizes, oh and did I forget to mention that they also offer purses and sunglasses!?! They only buy 1 (sometimes 2) of each purse, so you'll also have first dibs on those as well. Making you the only one to have that purse in Southern Utah! :)

The party will be held on Monday March 2nd and 7 pm at my house. Let me know if you'd like to attend, by leaving me a comment with you're e-mail address, and I'll e-mail you directions to my house. I'd love for you all to come.

I'm so excited! It's going to be so much fun!!!!!!!!

Happy Valentines to us!

So this year, we decided not to get each other anything. Figured we could spend our money on more important things. We did go on a date tho. A re-inactment of our first date to be exact :) Jon took me to "his spot" that he use to always go to, to get away and relax. We got panda express, and watched the sunset. It was actually a lot of fun. To get there you have to go up a pretty steep hill, where the vehicle is pretty much sideways. But the view on both sides is beautiful and totally worth the bumpy ride. We see it so often, we start to take for granted the beautiful scenary around us.

He had to get both me and the truck in the shot, go figure. =]

25 things

So here's 25 things about me,

1. I hate seafood!
2. I have a big scar on my right arm from a barbed wire fence.
3. I have to fall asleep facing the edge of the bed. I can't face Jon. :)
4. I got in a car accident with a semi-truck on the freeway that should have killed me and all inside.
5. I can move my 3 middle toes sideways.
6. I was born in Denmark.
7. I've traveled all over Europe.
8. My hair is so thin that it's impossible for me to grow it out longer than my shoulders.
9. I don't drink milk
10. Nor do I eat red meat.
11. I don't like doctors (unless 100% necessary) and try to heal naturally with herbs instead.
12. When I have kids, I'm going to use a midwife.
13. I'm very stubborn, and can argue with you until we're both blue in the face.
14. I don't like to be wrong.
15. I have a really weird habit, that everytime I wash my hands after going to the bathroom, I spit in the sink. I have no idea why, but I do.
16. I'm literally a mut. I'm 1/2 Danish, 1/4 German, and 1/4 American. (going back to only my grandparents)
17. When I got married, I gained a daughter. haha ok not really, just a great dane. But Jon treats her like his daugher.
18. I can't whistle. I've tried so many times, and had numerous people try to teach me, but it's a lost cause.
19. I can't frown.
20. When focusing on something, my face looks like I'm upset. My whole life I've had people think I was glaring at them, or that I was just plain mean, even though the expressions are completely accidental. I'm not doing it on purpose. It got the point that people would jusy say "Kristina, your face" and I'd just laugh and apologize.
21. I absolutely love a few tv shows : Friends, One Tree Hill, Grey's Anatomy and Prison Break (and can, have, and will watch them over and over again)
22. I have the best husband in the world! For reasons that would make a list too long to put on here.
23. My mom died in a car accident when I was 19. And may I say that life is a lot harder without your mom. But I've gotten to the point that I can truly say I'm ok with it, and I can't wait to see her again.
24. My family is truly amazing. Not only my little family, but my dad and sisters as well. I thank the Lord every day for the amazing people they all are.
25. I got lucky, my husbands family is just as amazing as mine is!

Well if you got to the end, you must be as bored as I was when I did this :)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JON!

Happy birthday Babe. I love you!
Last night we went to dinner at Texas Roadhouse with Jon's family to celebrate his birthday. And as you probably remember, they have a lovely saddle that they make people sit on when it's their birthday :) So you guessed it, Jon had to sit on the "horse" as he called it. He was not very happy about it though. But he eventually got into it. Just one of the many reasons why I love him so much.
