2nd post with no pics

sorry... I know posts with no pics are not as fun but there is something I want to make sure I remember.

Yesterday morning Taegen woke up and was extra fussy. I nursed him and that still didn't help, so then thinking that he was still hungry I fed him some breakfast. While he was eating he was fine, but the minute I put him down he got fussy again, but it wasn't as bad. So for a while I thought it was just going to be one of those bad days....wrong. He was playing with his toys on the floor, crawling around and would randomly just start crying. So my next thought was maybe he's teething. I checked his gums and thought I could feel a few bumps, so I figured that must be his problem. He kept getting worse so I eventually ended up giving him some pain reliever and cradled him (since that was the only way I could hold him without him crying). I layed down with him like this (which I must admit I kind of enjoyed since he NEVER cuddles anymore) and he eventually.

Oh I forgot to mention that I also thought that maybe something bit him or there was something on his bum since everytime I change him he'd freak out.

I was hoping that he'd feel better when he woke up. Which did not happen. He was just as fussy. I felt so bad that I couldn't figure out what was wrong. I dropped him off at the babysitters and told her the dilemma and asked her to let me know if she figured anything out. About an hour later she text me and said he looked like he was crawling like he pulled a muscle. How in the world would he have pulled a muscle? Nothing had happened yesterday that would have pulled a muscle. I was baffled. But it did make some sense. Then a few hours later I get another text from the babysitter that said while she was changing his diaper his hip popped. And he is no longer crawling funny/slow or being fussy.
PROBLEM SOLVED!
Except how in the world does an 11 month old pop his hip out of place? He was fine when he went to bed, so he must have done it in his sleep somehow.
Weird.

Random little tidbits

-Taegen gives hugs by resting his head on any part of your body. He doesn't use his arms, just lays his head down. So cute.
-When I'm nursing, he has to have my arm in between his legs so his foot thats on top can be up on my bicep/shoulder.
-He's being stingy with his kisses. :( I only get them every once in a while now.
-He hates green beans unless they are mixed with rice cereal. Then, and only then will he tolerate them.
-He loves the theme song to Backyardigans. He instantly stops whatever he is doing, stares at the tv, then starts bouncing up and down with a huge grin on his face.
-He has to eat the second he wakes up in the morning or he's super ornery (sp?)
-He loves the babysitter and her girls. Once I set him down, it's like I don't exist anymore. He crawls away, laughing and already enjoying himself. (This makes the fact that I have to drop his off at a babysitter much easier on me).
-He's the biggest mooch. He will go to anyone that has food, and stay with you as long as your still have some to give him. The minute that it's all gone, he's outta there. He did this just the other day with Grandpa E and chips. So funny.
-He still gets so excited to see me when I get home from work. His reaction to seeing me has died down from what it use to be (squealing, laughing, speed crawling to get to me). Now he gets excited and kicks his legs(if being held) and smiles. But if he sees something on his way to crawling towards me, say some sort of food or something he can stick in his mouth, that instantly becomes more important than me. haha
-He loves it when Jon tickles him with his goatee.

That's all I can think of for now.

Great friends, great sisters

A couple weeks ago I got offended due to something some of my friends did. I didn't say anything, or make a fuss over it. In fact I don't even think they know. I just chose to wallow in my own self pity :) It was then that it hit me....why am I letting this bother me so much? I see these friends maybe 1-3 times a year. My best friends aren't the ones I went to school with anymore. Although there are a few of those that I still consider to be great friends. (by the way, Bongos, I loved our little get together the other day. Miss those) My best friends now, are my sisters! We've all grown up and matured. We all may be in different stages of our lives (boyfriends, marriage, kids, jobs etc) But when we get together we can put all our differences aside and have a great time. And no matter what anyone may be going through, we have always been there for one another, helped each other through thick and thin. Funny how we fought so much growing up, but get along so well now. I absolutely love spending time with all of my sisters. Our closeness in age is what makes me want to have my kids close together. Maybe not as close as my mom had us (5 girls in 6 years). But close enough that my kids will be able to have as good of a relationship with each other as I have with my sisters.

Mini Jon

The older Taegen gets, the more he looks (and even acts sometimes) like Jon. I have a feeling he's gonna love cars just like his daddy :) Look how happy he looks when momma lets him "drive"

I was watching Glee one morning and decided to give Taeg another shot at figuring out his walker (He can only go backwards, so he doesn't like to be in it for very long). Everytime they started singing a song, this is what happened.
He would just sit and stare until they were done.
Too cute.
He LOVES music.

And I couldn't resist this one. My son is getting so big and so handsome. :)

10 month update

Here's what the little mans been up to:

-Hes walking along the furniture with ease now. He's gonna be walking so soon.
-Lately he's been sleeping a lot better (I hope I don't jinks myself by saying this out loud) Waking up only once.
-He still doesn't wave bye bye, but he gives high fives. Multiple ones at a time.
-He got really sick a couple weeks ago and when we took him in the stupid doc couldn't find anything wrong with him...infuriating to say the least.
-He's getting more hair. When I do his hair, his little mohawk is getting pretty long. Also, it doesn't stay up with just hair spray anymore. I'm gonna need to find some products that really work, since the gel we have doesn't work AT ALL.
-I think he might be losing interest in nursing. There have been multiple times that he only nurses for a minute or two, then he's done. I'm gonna do my best to make him last at least till 11-12 months. We'll see how it does with it.
-He loves solids.
-He is such a mooch. If anyone is eating, no matter what it is, he will crawl to you and give you his best "feed me" face until you share give him the rest.
-He is such a good baby. I know I've mentioned this before, but I get SO many comments about how happy and well tempered he is. Most people are just amazed. This makes me nervous to have my next child. I don't think I'll be lucky enough to have two "easy" babies.
-He's so friendly. I swear he's said "Hi" already. He smiles at everyone, especially the ladies :) he's definitely not shy! I think we're gonna have our hands full with him.
-He's said momma, but not when referring to me, and not near as often as he said dada. Jon still likes to rub that in my face.
-He's in a major mommas boy stage. Jon has a hard time with him for the last 1/2 an hour before i get home. He's fussy and won't calm down. But as soon as i get home, he's just fine. (Don't tell Jon, because I know it's super frustrating for him, but I secretly like this, because it makes me feel loved. Ok, I don't like that Jon has a rough time with him. But i do love that T loves me so much. I gotta relish it while I can).
-He still loves the baby sitters. Which makes dropping him off so much easier. I know I'll be able to stay home with him one day. But for now this is what we have to do, and having someone that is so good with him, and who's kids absolutely love him, makes things so much better.

This photo is from a few months back, but his smile is just too cute i couldn't resist

Black eye

The other day Taeg woke up with a slight black eye. Its hard to see in the pictures, but it was definitely there. I have no idea how he got it, since when he went to bed he didn't have it. I guess he sleeps pretty rough eh? ha. I know these pictures are all so much a like. They were obviously taken just seconds/minutes apart. but i was trying to get a good shot of his eye (it's his right eye) Pictures just don't do justice. Plus I thought some of them were just too cute, I had to post them. sorry for the redundancy.

he absolutely loves these puffs. He tries to stuff as many of them in his mouth as possible.

Picnic...well sort of

Today after church it was nice enough weather that I decided it would be good for Taegen to get some fresh air. So we all went and laid out on our front lawn. We put down a couple blankets so Taeg wouldn't be on the grass and try to eat it (it was more for convenience for us, then anything. Constantly pulling the grass from out of his hands/mouth gets annoying real fast). It was so nice and relaxing and Taegs absolutely loved it. I think we need to do this more often.

Daddy and Taegen playing. The next picture is one of the binky game they play.
Jon takes it from him and put it in his mouth backwards, and makes Taegs come get it.
He loves it. and its so cute to watch.
And no jon doesn't have a deformed cheek, he's eat a piece of honey candy. His favorite as of late.

His hair was done, but then he took a nap, and it all fell apart.
This is the only picture I got of all of us. None of us look flattering, and if you can't tell Jon
wasn't too fond of the idea, and who knows what Taegens trying to eat.
Using mommy and daddy (below) as a jungle gym.

He loves the camera. Not me taking pictures of him, but to play with.

Peek-A-Boo

Taeg fits perfectly under our kitchen table. I find him under there quite often. This time I decided to make a peek-a-boo game out of it. He LOVED it!

Isn't he just so adorable?!?!

I'm so terrible...

I haven't blogged Jon's b-day yet. It's not that I forgot, just that I haven't been in the mood to blog as of late. With Taeg being so much of a busy body I'm done for by the time he's in bed. (Since thats when i do my blogging, when he's asleep and mainly on the weekends. I don't see him enough during the week to be pooped because him by the end of the day :(
Ok as for Jon's b-day. We both had to work, and by the end of the day Jon was in pain and didn't want to do anything, so thats what we did...nothing. I went and got pizza while he sat on the couch and watched 24.  But we did go to lunch at Red Robin with his family. We really enjoyed that. Thanks mom and dad E.

Here's jon with his balloons and ice cream sundae they gave him.

Happy Birthday Babe. We love you and appreciate you so much. Thanks for everything you do for us. MUAH! /*98-/9*-9/////////////////////// (Taegs got to the computer. Thats his way of saying he loves you too :) )
